Romy Kasper is our new addition to the 2020 squad! The German girl rides already for many years in the women peloton and has a lot of experience. Romy road in the past for the Dutch formation Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team (2013-2016) and the past three seasons for the Italian formation Alé-Cipollinni.
‘Romy is a really strong domestic rider, in the past she worked for the big names in women cycling and is always in the mix. Especially in the harder races the strength of Romy will appear, whether it’s in a breakaway or when keeping the team out of trouble in the first part of the peloton. We love to have Romy in the team because of her teamspirit, strength, professionalism and knowledge’ says team manager Esra Tromp about the transfer.
Romy about her new adventure; ‘I’m looking forward to a new challenge back in a Dutch team. I’m pretty excited to join this group of young talents. Would like to share my experience and help them growing up as well as supporting Lorena Wiebes and Demi Vollering. Grabbing an Olympic spot for Tokio will be my personal goal for the next season!’
